    • Under social security scheme, Pension scheme to Disable person pension was given to person with disabilities. • As per the Pension scheme to disabled person the eligibility age for pension was 18 years and above. but there was nos. of children with disabilities who were not getting the benefit of the said scheme due to age reason, who were in acute need of financial assistance for their survival and welfare. • In this regard office of the ICPS observed the problem and proposed pension scheme for needy children with disabilities which was approved by Honorable Administrator, Daman & Diu. • ICPS team conducted a survey for the children in need of care and protection, during the survey it was identified that total 99 children in Daman & 100 in Diu having different disabilities. • The scheme corrigendum in 2015 with from age to 5 years and above instead of 18 years & above.

    • “Operation Smile” co-ordinate with Police department from “1st January to 31st January,2015,under the said programme 8 missing children were found, out of which 7 missing children were handed over to their parents by police department and ICPS team. • The search for the parents of the remaining one child is still in progress. • The remaining one child is now adult and working in Pvt. Sector.

    • “Operation Muskaan” co-ordinate with Police department from “1st July to 31st July, 2015, under the said programme 7 missing children were found and handed over to their parents by police department and ICPS team • Also during whole month the team of ICPS and Police department organized nos. of sensitized programme on missing Children’s

    • “Nanhe Haath Kalam ke Saath” programme was organized under innovative programme we received letter from National Commission For Protection Of Child Rights, (NCPCR) regarding “Street To School” programme for children in need of care & Protection. • In this regard office of the ICPS Distributed 200 Education kits with Pens, Lunch Box, Notebooks, Pencase, Sharper, Eraser, Colour box, and School bags to needy street Children, Orphans, rag pickers, physically challenged children. • For this programme industries from Daman district like Navneet Publication, Faber Castle, Flair pens, Real Plastic etc also donated stationeries etc. under Corporate Social Responsibility to encourage children to go to school. • 50 children were enrolled in various schools under the said programme. Also office of the ICPS prepared advertisements for electro media regarding school enrollment and distributed

    • The Decorated truck with Flax banners related to various child protection activities like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, Abolition of Child Labour & Child Marriage, Encourage Adoptions, Right to education, Health & Nutrition of children etc. demonstrated trough out Diu district for spreading the awareness, through distribution of IEC and also had quiz for general public (questions being asked related to Child Rights & issues) • Garba festival is a main festival of this U.T. and the said programme was highly appreciated by Local people from Diu.

    • Comprehensive meeting was conducted with all Anganwadi workers regarding survey on Children in need of care & Protection. • 10 days Survey was conducted for children who are Orphans, with single parents & Disabilities. • Total 568 children were identified in need of care and protection from rural & urban area of Diu District. • The said programme was organized under the guidelines of MWCD by team of ICPS.

    • Comprehensive meeting conducted with all Anganwadi workers regarding survey on Children in need of care & Protection. • Survey conducted for children who were Orphans, with single parents & Disabilities. • Total 617 children were identified in need of care and protection from rural & urban area of Daman District. • The said programme was organized under the guidelines of MWCD.

    • On republic day various departments of U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu represented their roles & Responsibilities through Tableaus (Jhanki).In the said occasion office of the ICPS participated on the Republic day programme and the theme of the tableau’s was awareness regarding Child Rights and Child related issues • The theme of the tableaus was highly appreciated. • Secretary (SW) received the third prize award for Tableau from Hon’ble Administrator on 26th january-15.

    • Survey conducted in various chawls and migrant areas in entire Daman district. • During the survey it was analyzed that total 143 children were not going to school due to various reasons. • Through this programme 100 children were enrolled in various schools of Daman district.

    • The office of ICPS invited expert play artists from Ahmedabad to perform street play for 10 days on child issues and rights like Child Labour, Child Marriage, Adoption, Right to education, health & Nutrition etc, in entire Diu District. • Also general public at large were made aware through pamphlets about various Legal Acts related to child protection like Juvenile Justice Act, Child Labour Act, Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, Child Marriage & Restraint Act, Preconception and Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques, Protection of children from sexual offense Act, etc, to stop the exploitations of children.

    • The said camp was inaugurated at Vatsalya Sanstha Diu. By Collector Diu. Total 165 physically challenged children/persons from Diu district participated in Disable camp. • Disability certificate was issued to 61 physically challenged children/persons and sensitized them regarding pension Scheme and rights of person with Disabilities.

    • The said camp was organized for needy physically challenged children of diu at Vatsalya day care center Diu and sensitized them regarding pension Scheme and rights of person with Disabilities.

    • The Decorated truck with Flax banners related to various child protection activities like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, Abolition of Child Labour & Child Marriage, Encourage Adoptions, Right to education, Health & Nutrition of children etc. demonstrated throughout Daman district consisting of 10 Panchayats under District Panchayat and 15 wards under Municipal Council, for spreading the awareness, through distribution of IEC and also had quiz for general public (Questions being asked related to Child Rights & issues) • Garba festival is a main festival of this U.T. and the said programme was highly appreciated by Local people from Daman.
